Day 6

Scripture to Read: Romans 3:30

We now know that our faith was given to us by God, who created us all. We also know that God has given that same faith to everyone who does not know Him yet. Those still separated from Christ have chosen to use the faith given to them by God to trust in someone or something else. As God had Paul write, we see today that God had Paul tell us, in Romans 3:30, “since indeed God who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith is one.” So, with all we’ve learned this week, God is ensuring that everyone knows that only one of Him exists. There are not multiple gods, and though God has manifested Himself as Father, Son, and Spirit, He is still ONE and not many. God also clarifies that He alone makes people right with Himself. Of course, the only way people are made right with God the Father is by placing the faith they have (which God gave them, as we saw in Romans 12:3) in Christ alone for the forgiveness of sins. The other thing God points out is that it does not matter whether someone is a Jew or Gentile. Both have the opportunity to place their faith in Christ alone to be made right with God the Father. The Gospel truly is “Good News” for everyone. God gave us Christ so that He could transform our lives; therefore, we become His ambassadors to everyone who has not surrendered to Him yet so they have the opportunity to know Him as we do.

Challenge & Application

Why is it important for us to know that the Gospel is for everyone and not just for a chosen few? How are you sharing the Gospel with those who still do not know Christ as their Lord?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 1

As we ended the devotions last week, we saw how God demonstrated His righteousness through Christ. Therefore, God made Christ our “Justifier,” which means that Christ is the only one who could and still can make us and everyone else right before God the Father by thoroughly cleansing us of all our sins (Colossians 1:13–14, Colossians 2:13–14)...

Day 2

It is overwhelmingly humbling when we consider all Christ has done for us through His life, crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection. Christ gave His all so we could be made right with God the Father. So, as God used Paul to write His Word, God had Paul write in Romans 3:28, “For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from wor...

Day 3

Yesterday, we touched on the fact that our “good works” are the evidence to others that we belong to Christ and that He is Lord of our lives. So, let’s examine our “good works” a little more. God had James, who grew up as the half-brother of Jesus, deal with how important our “good works” are in showing others we belong to Christ. In James 2:...

Day 4

It is not hard to imagine one set of people thinking of themselves as being better than another. We see this in our world every day. The same was true when God had Paul write to all of the saints in Rome (Romans 1:7). The Jews considered themselves to be much better than the Gentiles. The Jews saw themselves as God’s people and the Gentiles a...

Day 5

Yesterday, we began to examine how the Jews had missed God’s call because they believed God had only chosen them as His people and no one else. As Christians, if we are not careful, we can start thinking more highly of ourselves than we ought because we know we belong to God through Christ. God had Paul write this in Romans 12:3 as a reminder...

Day 7

We end this week with Romans 3:31. God has taught us much about Himself and that His salvation is for everyone, not just the Jews. God has Paul finishing up Romans 3 by asking a question and then answering that same question in Romans 3:31, “Do we then nullify the Law through faith? May it never be! On the contrary, we establish the Law.” The...
