Day 2

Scripture to Read: Exodus 25:23–30

God gave Moses the details for the table that was to be built for His sanctuary. This table would hold the bread of Presence. God told Moses, in Exodus 25:30, “You shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before Me at all times.” God gave more detail about the bread of Presence in Leviticus 24:5–9, “Every sabbath day he shall set it in order before the Lord continually; it is an everlasting covenant for the sons of Israel. 9 It shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy to him from the Lord’s offerings by fire, his portion forever.” The bread was only to be eaten by the priests (the Levites) from Aaron’s lineage. The bread was a constant reminder of God’s provision—the manna He provided—while the Israelites were in the wilderness. The bread is also a reminder for us today that Christ is “the bread of life” (John 6:33, John 6:35, John 6:48, John 6:51). Jesus said in John 6:57–58, “As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate and died; he who eats this bread will live forever.” Jesus made it clear that all who believe in Him as Lord and Savior will live forever. Day 4

In Exodus 26:1–14, God gave Moses the details about the curtains that would cover the Tabernacle. It’s interesting that God begins with the curtains and that each layer was to be made specifically according to God’s plan. The first ten curtains were to have the images of cherubim woven on them. This is significant because the cherubim are in ...

Day 6

We read about the Altar of Burnt Offering in Exodus 27:1–8. The Hebrew word for altar is best defined a “killing place.” There must be death (the shedding of blood) for the atonement of sin. Without the blood, there is no redemption. God’s Word reminds us of this Truth in Hebrews 9:22, “And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things...
