Day 7

Scripture to Read: Philippians 3

As we finish up this week, God has taught us much about worshipping Him. Today our focus is on Philippians 3:3, as God led Paul to write, for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh. As followers of Christ, God wants all of us to know without a doubt who we are in Christ. Through Paul, God makes the point to highlight that we, who are born-again, have been reborn through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit came to dwell in us when we placed our complete faith in Christ (trusting in Christ, clinging to Christ, relying on Christ), and God spiritually transformed us. We’ve been completely renewed and set apart for God’s purpose and plans (Ephesians 2:10, Philippians 2:13). Therefore, we are the true circumcision, for our hearts have been circumcised (Romans 6:6–7), and the “old man” has been cut away from us so that we can now worship our Lord Jesus Christ through His Holy Spirit living in us. So, we are to rejoice in Christ Jesus and not place our confidence in our flesh (in who we think we are or what we have). True worship flows out of us as we put all of our confidence in Christ alone. We boast in nothing except Christ and His cross (Galatians 6:14). We must live to proclaim our Lord and His Word. Come ready today as His body and bring all you are and worship Him fully.

Challenge & Application

· What would you say you need to crucify your flesh to be ready to worship our Lord fully today? · How will you help lead others to our Lord so they can come to know Him and follow Him as you do?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 2

As we consider what “worship” is, we must remember that worship is a choice we make each day. We choose to worship God and walk in obedience to Him, or we choose to worship the things of this life and walk in obedience to them. God has given instructions and warnings about worship throughout His Word. The word “worship” is used eight times in...

Day 3

Worship is most definitely a critical part of us connecting with our Lord, not only with other believers in corporate worship but also daily in our worship of our Lord. In Psalms, many Scriptures speak to our worship of our Lord God Almighty. In Psalms 2:11, God’s Word says, Worship the Lord with reverence And rejoice with trembling. God is r...

Day 4

Worship is a constant reminder to us of our need for our Lord, our need for His power, presence, provision, peace, grace, mercy, and forgiveness. The Good News is that we have ALL of these gifts from our Lord because He dwells in us. But when we worship Him, we are constantly reminded of all we have in Him and through Him so that we do not lo...

The term “worship” is only used fourteen times in all four Gospels combined. “Worship” is used five times in Matthew, once in Mark, twice in Luke, and six in John. The references to “worship” in Matthew, Mark, and Luke are all tied togeth...
