Day 3

Scripture to Read: Psalms 2, 22, 29

Worship is most definitely a critical part of us connecting with our Lord, not only with other believers in corporate worship but also daily in our worship of our Lord. In Psalms, many Scriptures speak to our worship of our Lord God Almighty. In Psalms 2:11, God’s Word says, Worship the Lord with reverence And rejoice with trembling. God is reminding us that a big part of worship is that we serve our Lord with reverence. To have reverence for our Lord means to be in awe/fear of Him, but not fear as in being afraid of God but in understanding how mighty He is and us willingly submitting to His awesomeness and the fullness of all His wonder, majesty, and glory. We also worship through continual rejoicing, but it’s rejoicing with trembling. Again, the trembling comes because we understand how majestic, glorious, wonderful, awesome, fantastic, powerful, forgiving, merciful, and on and on God is all of the time. A great way to imagine what this is like would be to picture what you would be like in the presence of your favorite movie star, political leader, music artist, television star, author, or someone else you dream of meeting in person. Now, take that feeling and multiply that feeling a thousand times over and that is how we should worship our Lord every day. We must worship as God’s Word directs in Psalms 29:2, Ascribe to the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in holy array. He alone is worthy of all our worship.

Day 7

As we finish up this week, God has taught us much about worshipping Him. Today our focus is on Philippians 3:3, as God led Paul to write, for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh. As followers of Christ, God wants all of us to know without a doubt who we ar...
