Scripture to Read: Revelation 3:9-10
As we finish up with Revelation 3:9 today, we also find that Jesus said He will make others know that He has loved us. One day Jesus will reveal to the entire world that we belong to Him. God led John to write this in 1 John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not appeared as yet what we will be. We know that when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is. God uses His Word as an encouraging reminder that our Lord Jesus Christ is proud of those who live on mission as His ambassadors. It is also incredibly comforting to know that our Lord calls us His children and that the world will one day know that He unconditionally loves each one of us. Jesus also made this promise to the church in Philadelphia in Revelation 3:10, “Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.” All of us who are faithful to our Lord will be delivered from the “hour of testing.” Our Lord is referring to the rapture of His church. The rapture can happen at any time; that is why we as Believers need to live wholeheartedly for our Lord. Also, knowing the rapture can occur at any moment should cause us to be sharing the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ with everyone.
