Day 6

Scripture to Read: Colossians 1:19–20

God’s Word opens our eyes to the richness of our Lord and King, Jesus! We read in Colossians 1:19–20, For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven. God the Father was well pleased with God the Son and for all of His Deity to dwell in Christ as He walked on this earth. God’s Word says it this way in Colossians 2:9, For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form. So, Christ was fully man and fully God at the same time. Again, this is a Truth that most Christians believe, but they often are hard-pressed to know how to share this Truth. God wants us to not only know His Truth but to proclaim His Truth with the authority of His Word. Another thing that pleased our Heavenly Father was to “reconcile all things to Himself” through our Lord Jesus Christ’s life being laid down by the shedding of His blood. God’s Word explains it this way in 2 Corinthians 5:18–19, …God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. We must share this incredible truth with everyone.

Challenge & Application

· Knowing that God the Father, through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, reconciled us to Himself, how are you helping others know this same truth? · What does it mean to you to know God does not count your sin against you?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!
