Day 5

Scripture to Read: Romans 3:25

Today we begin to examine Romans 3:25 to see all that God the Father has done for us through our Lord Jesus Christ. We read that God publicly displayed our Lord Jesus Christ as the One and Only life-giving sacrifice for the sins of all people (past, present, and future). God’s Word says it this way in 1 John 2:2, “and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.” The word “propitiation" means that Christ is our atonement for all our sins. “Propitiation” also means that Christ is the One who reconciles us back into a right relationship with God the Father. Christ did all of this through His blood when He shed it for us on the cross. Christ offers this incredible gift of being cleansed from ALL of our sins to everyone who has been created. This incredible gift of salvation can only be received by people placing their faith in Christ as their Lord and Savior. Everyone has their faith placed in something or someone. Some people choose to put their faith in their good works. Some people place their faith in their accomplishments and hope to leave a “good name” here on earth. Still, others place their faith in the riches of this world and live as if there is nothing to look forward to when they die. But Christ tells us that He came to give us life and to give it to us abundantly (John 10:10). Only in Christ do we find all we need.

Challenge & Application

What has Christ done for us through the shedding of His blood on the cross? How will you share your faith this week with those who have a misplaced faith in someone or something and not in Christ?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 1

We have the opportunity to dig deep into Romans 3:24–26 this week. God has so much to teach us, so it’s my prayer that none of us miss all that God has for us to learn from Him and His Holy Word. As we begin today, we must remember that God revealed the fullness of His righteousness to all mankind through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 3:21). ...

Day 2

Yesterday God taught us about His righteousness and justification and how we have both of them through Christ our Lord. Both God’s righteousness and justification are freely given to every follower of Christ as gifts. The reason followers of Christ receive these gifts of righteousness and justification is because of God’s precious, undeserved...

Day 3

Today and tomorrow, we’re going to focus on “the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.” We live in a day and time where the word “redemption," or “being redeemed,” does not make sense to many people because we no longer live in a country where people are bought and sold as slaves. But it is sad to say that this is not so true in many countries...

Day 4

As we learned the definition of the word “redeem” yesterday, today we will unpack our redemption a little further. God’s Word makes incredibly clear that redemption can only be found through our Lord Jesus Christ. Every born-again believer has been purchased out of the slave market of sin. That means that all Christians are set free from bein...

Day 6

Today and tomorrow, we’ll examine why God the Father publicly displays Christ. We read today in Romans 3:25 that God the Father displayed Christ for all to see, to show beyond a shadow of a doubt that God the Father demands the punishment of all sin because of His righteousness. In other words, nothing unrighteous can come into the presence o...

Day 7

We finish up today examining why God the Father publicly displayed Christ. So, let’s get to it as we read Romans 3:26, “for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” So, God also displayed Christ publicly to show the fullness of Christ’s r...
