Day 1

Scripture to Read: Romans 3:24

We have the opportunity to dig deep into Romans 3:24–26 this week. God has so much to teach us, so it’s my prayer that none of us miss all that God has for us to learn from Him and His Holy Word. As we begin today, we must remember that God revealed the fullness of His righteousness to all mankind through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 3:21). God’s righteousness is then given to us through our Lord Jesus Christ when we surrender to Christ as Lord (Romans 3:22). We know we need God’s righteousness because apart from Christ, we are separated from God because of our sin (Romans 3:23). But the Good News is that through Christ, we are justified. A great way to understand the word justified is to break it down like this, “just as if I’d” never sinned. So, for every born-again follower of Christ, God has given us His righteousness AND justified us through Christ, so God sees us as completely CLEAN, justified (just as if I’d never sinned). What we must know, be sure of, and share with others is that God’s righteousness and God justifying us are incredible gifts from God. We have done nothing to deserve God’s righteousness and justification. We can do nothing to earn God’s righteousness and justification. We receive God’s righteousness and justification through surrendering to Christ as Lord. Don’t miss these gifts of righteousness and justification, which were fully paid for by Christ through His death and the shedding of His perfect blood on the cross.

Challenge & Application

What did God teach you today about His righteousness and His justification? How, and with whom, will you share the Good News of God’s righteousness and justification this week.

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 2

Yesterday God taught us about His righteousness and justification and how we have both of them through Christ our Lord. Both God’s righteousness and justification are freely given to every follower of Christ as gifts. The reason followers of Christ receive these gifts of righteousness and justification is because of God’s precious, undeserved...

Day 3

Today and tomorrow, we’re going to focus on “the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.” We live in a day and time where the word “redemption," or “being redeemed,” does not make sense to many people because we no longer live in a country where people are bought and sold as slaves. But it is sad to say that this is not so true in many countries...

Day 4

As we learned the definition of the word “redeem” yesterday, today we will unpack our redemption a little further. God’s Word makes incredibly clear that redemption can only be found through our Lord Jesus Christ. Every born-again believer has been purchased out of the slave market of sin. That means that all Christians are set free from bein...

Day 5

Today we begin to examine Romans 3:25 to see all that God the Father has done for us through our Lord Jesus Christ. We read that God publicly displayed our Lord Jesus Christ as the One and Only life-giving sacrifice for the sins of all people (past, present, and future). God’s Word says it this way in 1 John 2:2, “and He Himself is the propit...

Day 6

Today and tomorrow, we’ll examine why God the Father publicly displays Christ. We read today in Romans 3:25 that God the Father displayed Christ for all to see, to show beyond a shadow of a doubt that God the Father demands the punishment of all sin because of His righteousness. In other words, nothing unrighteous can come into the presence o...

Day 7

We finish up today examining why God the Father publicly displayed Christ. So, let’s get to it as we read Romans 3:26, “for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” So, God also displayed Christ publicly to show the fullness of Christ’s r...
