Day 2

Scripture to Read: Romans 3:24

Yesterday God taught us about His righteousness and justification and how we have both of them through Christ our Lord. Both God’s righteousness and justification are freely given to every follower of Christ as gifts. The reason followers of Christ receive these gifts of righteousness and justification is because of God’s precious, undeserved, magnificent grace. As someone has beautifully laid out, grace is “God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense.” As already mentioned, God’s grace is precious because His grace reminds us of His precious love for us. God’s grace is undeserved, which means we could never do enough to be able to gain God’s grace apart from Him freely giving His grace to us. God’s grace is magnificent because it is by God’s grace that we receive “the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people), 19 and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe” according to Ephesians 1:18–19 (Amplified Version). God has made all of this ours because of His incredible grace. Some people fear that God’s grace gives people the freedom to sin, but just the opposite is true. When we, as followers of Christ, fully understand God’s grace, we want to stay as far away from sin as we can. We instead desire to passionately pursue our intimacy with God and His Word so that no matter what temptations we face, they pale in comparison to all we have in Christ.

Challenge & Application

What did you learn about God’s grace today that you did not fully comprehend before? How will you tell others about God’s grace, which is offered to them through a relationship with Christ?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 1

We have the opportunity to dig deep into Romans 3:24–26 this week. God has so much to teach us, so it’s my prayer that none of us miss all that God has for us to learn from Him and His Holy Word. As we begin today, we must remember that God revealed the fullness of His righteousness to all mankind through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 3:21). ...

Day 3

Today and tomorrow, we’re going to focus on “the redemption which is in Christ Jesus.” We live in a day and time where the word “redemption," or “being redeemed,” does not make sense to many people because we no longer live in a country where people are bought and sold as slaves. But it is sad to say that this is not so true in many countries...

Day 4

As we learned the definition of the word “redeem” yesterday, today we will unpack our redemption a little further. God’s Word makes incredibly clear that redemption can only be found through our Lord Jesus Christ. Every born-again believer has been purchased out of the slave market of sin. That means that all Christians are set free from bein...

Day 5

Today we begin to examine Romans 3:25 to see all that God the Father has done for us through our Lord Jesus Christ. We read that God publicly displayed our Lord Jesus Christ as the One and Only life-giving sacrifice for the sins of all people (past, present, and future). God’s Word says it this way in 1 John 2:2, “and He Himself is the propit...

Day 6

Today and tomorrow, we’ll examine why God the Father publicly displays Christ. We read today in Romans 3:25 that God the Father displayed Christ for all to see, to show beyond a shadow of a doubt that God the Father demands the punishment of all sin because of His righteousness. In other words, nothing unrighteous can come into the presence o...

Day 7

We finish up today examining why God the Father publicly displayed Christ. So, let’s get to it as we read Romans 3:26, “for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” So, God also displayed Christ publicly to show the fullness of Christ’s r...
