Day 2

Scripture to Read: Romans 15:8–12

As we saw yesterday, God’s plan has always been to offer salvation to the Jews and the Gentiles. So, let’s look deeper at what God offers us (as Gentiles) through Christ. No one deserves God’s grace and mercy, especially us Gentiles, but God wanted to make sure, as He led Paul to write to the Gentile believers in Rome, that they were part of God’s family because of God’s rich mercy. God had Paul write concerning Christ becoming a Servant to the Gentiles in Romans 15:9, “and for the Gentiles to glorify God for His mercy.” We, as Gentiles and followers of Christ, must continually glorify our Father for His rich mercy given to us. God used Paul to remind us of His rich mercy in Ephesians 2:4–5, “But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved).” God’s mercy has been offered to us because of His great love for us. Our response for God’s rich mercy ought to be, as God’s Word says in Romans 15:9–12, “I will give praise to You,” “I will sing to Your name,” “Rejoice,” “Praise the Lord,” and “in Him shall the Gentiles hope.” We have incredible reason to praise and honor our King each day. We have Christ as our hope; therefore, we have nothing to be anxious about. When we walk in God’s Truth, the worries of this life fade away!

Challenge & Application

· We have been offered God’s rich mercy through Christ, so how are you enjoying His mercy each day and sharing it with others? · How are you putting into practice, praising, singing, and rejoicing in our Lord because of His rich mercy and grace?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 1

Today, we get the beautiful reminder from God, through Paul, that Christ came for both the Jews and the Gentiles. God had Paul write in Romans 15:8–9, “For I say that Christ has become a servant to the circumcision on behalf of the truth of God to confirm the promises given to the fathers, 9 and for the Gentiles to glorify God for His mercy.”...

Day 3

God had Paul pray another prayer in Romans 15:13, “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” According to this prayer, we are reminded that God is our God of hope. Our hope in this life has nothing to do with anything this world has to offer us. Our ...

Day 4

>As we continue to examine the prayer that God led Paul to write, we see that God led Paul to remind the believers in Rome that they were full of goodness, not because they were good but because of Christ in them. God’s Word says in Romans 15:14, “And concerning you, my brethren, I myself also am convinced that you yourselves are full of good...

Day 5

God allowed Paul (in Romans 15:15–16) to write, “But I have written very boldly to you on some points so as to remind you again, because of the grace that was given me from God, 16 to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, ministering as a priest the gospel of God, so that my offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, sanctified ...

Day 6

As we saw in yesterday’s devotion, God had Paul remind us how He had called Paul “to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles” (Romans 15:16). As God led Paul to continue, we read in Romans 15:17, “Therefore in Christ Jesus I have found reason for boasting in things pertaining to God.” God has called us to do the same, for we also have n...

Day 7

God used Paul in many miraculous ways as Paul served our Lord well in preaching the gospel to the Gentiles. We read at the end of Romans 15:19, “so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ” and then in Romans 15:20, “I aspired to preach the gospel, not where Christ was already named, s...
