Scripture to Read: Romans 8
Today is our final devotion on “multiplication.” We already know how important prayer is to our lives and to carrying out the ministry of “multiplication.” There are many Scripture verses on prayer. God’s Word tells us what prayer does for us and reminds us to pray. As we read Romans 8:26, God tells us that prayer is difficult for all of us. Most believers feel inadequate in praying. Some believers are even afraid of praying out loud for fear that others will think they’re weird and weak because of what they prayed. The good news that God shares with us in Romans 8:26–27 & Romans 8:34 should help us all overcome our fears of asking our Lord for what we need, especially in fulfilling the ministry of “multiplication. Now, we know God is One and that He is present as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Though that is hard for us to grasp, nevertheless, we know it’s true. So, God clearly tells us what He wants us to know about prayer in Romans 8:26–27 and Romans 8:34. Every time we pray to our Heavenly Father, He hears us, understands what we’re trying to say, and what we need. He loves for us to come and join Him in prayer, knowing that God the Son and God the Spirit are continually praying with, for, and through us to God the Father. When we join the Son and the Spirit in prayer, in the presence of the Father, we can know that we are right where God desires us to be.
