Day 6

Scripture to Read: Ephesians 6

As we continue to focus on the ministry of “multiplication,” we know prayer has to be a vital part of each day of our lives. God wants us in an attitude of prayer at all times to carry out the ministry of “multiplication” through His guidance in our lives. Prayer is similar to the way we use our cell phones. We constantly text, answer calls, make calls, plus answer and send emails, and check our social media accounts. We are in constant contact with people all day. God wants us so connected with Him that we don’t do anything without talking to Him about it first. We must remember that we can’t carry out the ministry of “multiplication” without Him. The good news is that we can fellowship with God because His Holy Spirit lives in us. The reason we fellowship with our Lord and pursue His Word is that we walk into a spiritual battlefield each day. The enemy wants people to remain lost, and we are battling to share Christ with them so they can cross over from death to life; that is why we must pray for each other as believers. As we pray, we need to pray Ephesians 6:19–20. Praying something like this, “Heavenly Father, give us Your words as we open our mouths to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel, that in proclaiming it we speak boldly as we ought to speak.” If all believers would pray Ephesians 6:19–20 daily for one another, imagine what would happen through the ministry of “multiplication."

Challenge & Application

· What are you doing each day to be prepared for the spiritual battlefield you walk into? · How different would all believers be if we all prayed Ephesians 6:19–20 and trusted God to use us?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 1

God has us focused on “multiplication” this week. As we learned last week, God has designed us to invest in others so that His fruit is multiplied in us and through us. God never wants us to reach a point where His fruit is not being multiplied through our lives. As we grow in Christ, we will bear fruit for His glory and honor. Jesus speaks o...

Day 2

On our Highview website, we read that “multiplication” involves us “seeking to multiply our lives and the gospel in others. We take the gospel to engage the lost where we live, work, and do recreation. As we see people come to know and follow Jesus, we invite them on the journey of discipleship to be disciples who will make more disciples.” T...

Day 3

We must fully realize God has called us to “multiplication.” As we share Him with the lost, God chooses to use us to transform their lives as they cross over from death to life. As we see lives transformed, the “multiplication” of His fruit coming forth is awesome! Because He’s called us to “multiply,” we should be further motivated to join H...

Day 4

As followers of Christ, we know God loves us and that He gives us His incredible grace, mercy, and forgiveness (Ephesians 2:4–7, Colossians 1:13–14, Colossians 2:13–14). But if we are going to fulfill the ministry of “multiplication,” we must believe that lost people NEED Jesus Christ. In John 17, our Lord Jesus Christ prayed to God the Fathe...

Day 5

As God uses us in the ministry of “multiplication,” there are times that we become a little fearful of sharing Christ with those we know who need Christ. But God does not want us slowed down and stopped by fear. God has given us some good news in His Word to be able to overcome all fear so that we fully carry out the ministry of “multiplicati...

Day 7

Today is our final devotion on “multiplication.” We already know how important prayer is to our lives and to carrying out the ministry of “multiplication.” There are many Scripture verses on prayer. God’s Word tells us what prayer does for us and reminds us to pray. As we read Romans 8:26, God tells us that prayer is difficult for all of us. ...
