Scripture to Read: Genesis 6:11-18
The Good News of Noah’s faith in God is a great word for us to walk with our Lord daily. But, as we begin today, we are reminded again by God how corrupt the world was in Noah's day. God’s Word tells us again, in Genesis 6:11-12, the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence. 12 And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. God leaves no doubt that mankind was FULL of violence and corruption. But God knew He would provide a way for salvation, so God tells Noah, in Genesis 6:13-16, what He wants Noah to do to carry out His salvation plan. God also made a covenant with Noah and his family to save them from the flood. God’s covenant with Noah in Genesis 6:18 says, “I will establish My covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you.” This is the first time the word “covenant” appears in Scripture. Biblically, covenants are how God establishes relationships with His people. A covenant can be compared to an oath or a promise. God made a covenant with Noah and his family that He would protect them from the flood. Noah’s only responsibility was to TRUST and OBEY God. The same is true for us today! God provides salvation for us from the power and penalty of sin through our Lord Jesus Christ. We must TRUST and OBEY Him.
Challenge & Application

2. How are you trusting and obeying God each day as you walk with Him?
