Scripture to Read: Exodus 4:13–16
After all we have seen God do in Exodus 4 this week to show Moses how powerful He is, and with everything that God said to Moses, Moses still pushed back, trying to get God to choose someone else. Today, we read in Exodus 4:13, Moses’s plea to God to use someone else as Moses said, “Please, Lord, now send the message by whomever You will.” It’s hard for most of us to believe that Moses was still struggling by this point in trusting God, but we do the same thing at times. God has shown Himself faithful in our lives but when a new test or trial comes our way, we cry out to God to deliver us instead of asking God how He wants to use us in the test or trial He’s walking us through. At this point, God gets angry with Moses for his lack of trust in God. But God still showed Moses His incredible grace by telling Moses that his brother Aaron was on his way and that God would allow Aaron to be used alongside Moses. God did not tell Moses that He would use Aaron instead of Moses, but God told Moses this in Exodus 4:15: “You are to speak to him and put the words in his mouth; and I, even I, will be with your mouth and his mouth, and I will teach you what you are to do.” God did not let Moses walk away, but God used Moses to speak to Aaron, and Aaron spoke to Israel.

· How has God used you in someone else’s life, or someone in your life, to fulfill His plan like He used Aaron and Moses?
