Scripture to Read: Exodus 4:6–9
In Exodus 4:6–9, God continued to show Moses how powerful He was. First, God had Moses place his hand inside his robe around the area of his chest and when Moses removed his hand, it was leprous, as white as snow. So, God had Moses put his hand back in his robe and it was completely healed when Moses pulled his hand back out. It’s hard for us to imagine seeing a miracle like this happen before our eyes, but then again, we often see miracles. Think about this—every time we see a person surrender to Christ as Lord, we see a dead person raised to life through Christ. We also see a person who was spiritually blind given new sight to see Christ as their Lord and King and to see the fullness of His Word as Truth. We also see a person who was spiritually deaf to God and His Word now hearing God speak through His Word. There is no greater miracle than a transformed life. God did not want Moses to miss His incredible power and what He could do through Moses if Moses would trust Him. God even told Moses in Exodus 4:9, “But if they will not believe even these two signs or heed what you say, then you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground; and the water which you take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground.” God wants us to trust Him completely so He can use us for His glory too.
