Day 3

Scripture to Read: Exodus 36:8–38

God had called out Bezalel and Oholiab and every skillful person in whom He had put the skills and understanding needed to know how to perform all the work in constructing the Tabernacle. God gave these skilled laborers everything they needed to fulfill all the Lord commanded. God still does the same thing today. God tells us in Ephesians 4:11–13 “And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ.” Just as God called Bezalel, Oholiab, and every skillful person to perform the work to build the Tabernacle and everything in it, God still calls His “equippers” so that every believer is equipped to do His work each day (Ephesians 2:10). God specifically designed each one of us for His purpose so that our lives please Him (Philippians 2:13). We must respond in obedience to what our Lord has commanded us to do. We must serve Him well right where we are so that we walk in a manner worthy of our Lord, that we please Him in all we do, that we bear fruit in every work He’s given us to accomplish, and that we increase in our knowledge of Him (Colossians 1:10).

The skilled laborers God provided started their work on the Tabernacle using all the materials the Israelites had brought. But what’s interesting is th...

Day 7

As we prepare for worship with other believers today, we find ourselves at the end of Exodus 39. God tells us in Exodus 39:32, “Thus all the work of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting was completed; and the sons of Israel did according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses; so they did.” Then, God says it once more in Exodus 39:42–43, “...
