Day 6

Scripture to Read: 2 Timothy 1:3-4

Take a moment and reread Luke 19:41-42. Jesus wept over the lostness of all of those in Jerusalem because He knew they were utterly missing who He was as their Messiah. We all have people in our lives that we must pray for who are lost in their sin. The only way we become broken for the lost souls around us is to pray for them. We must pray, asking our Lord, according to Colossians 4:3-6, to give us opportunities to share Him and His Truth with them. We must pray John 16:8-11, thanking our Heavenly Father that through His Holy Spirit, He is already convicting every lost soul concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. We must pray Ephesians 6:19-20 asking God to give us His words and boldness as we communicate Him and His Truth to the lost. We must live our lives above reproach so everyone who knows us is thankful for being a part of our lives. We need people in our lives who, with us, are pursuing righteousness, faith, love, and peace and are calling on God with us from the pure hearts He's given us (2 Timothy 2:22). These same friends must be fleeing from youthful lusts and we need to be holding each other accountable to walking in God’s Truth. We must be the friend that others know they can count on to be a prayer warrior for them. God wants us to experience the triumph of Christ through our lives, our prayers, our words, and the friends we have in Him.

Challenge & Application

1. What did God teach you about your responsibility in praying for lost friends, sharing Christ, and fellowshipping with saved friends? 2. How are you walking in the Truths God laid out for you today in this devotion?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 1

Our Lord Jesus Christ came to this earth in an average body, just like ours. He lived a perfect life but was still entirely misunderstood by most, especially his day's religious leaders. Our Lord came for a purpose, as God says through John in 1 John 3:5 & 8, “5 You know that He appeared in order to take away sins; and in Him there is no sin....

Day 2

God is sovereign in everything, which means that He is our supreme Ruler and King. God never lies and never makes mistakes. God’s leadership in all things has been and always will be perfect. As our Lord Jesus instructed two of His disciples to find the colt, we see that God led Mark to mention only the colt and not the donkey. We also see th...

Day 3

Jesus’s triumphal entry is shared in all four Gospels. Our Lord Jesus Christ deserved, and will deserve for all eternity, to be praised and worshipped. The Pharisees, who hated our Lord Jesus Christ, did not like that the people were shouting, “Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord; Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”, ...

Day 4

Today, in John 12:1-19, through John, God gives us another perspective on Christ’s triumphal entry. Before the day of His triumphal entry, we find Jesus in the house of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus (the same Lazarus Jesus raised from the dead in John 11). In John 12, Mary, Martha and Lazarus's sister, took an expensive bottle of perfume and anoi...

Day 5

Christ’s triumphal entry reminds us that He is not only worthy of all our praise but also our daily obedience. God has called each of us to walk in obedience to Him and to serve Him in the works He’s prepared for us to do. We know it is His perfect will for us to serve and to fulfill what His plans are for us each day. We read in Ephesians 2:...

Day 7

We know that Christ’s triumphal entry led to His mock trial, beating, crucifixion, death, burial, and most importantly, His resurrection. The life that Christ gives us is eternal, but it’s not just about the quantity of life; this life is also about the quality of life. Through that quality of life, we can live in such a way that honors our L...
