Scripture to Read: 2 Timothy 1:1-2
Christ’s triumphal entry reminds us that He is not only worthy of all our praise but also our daily obedience. God has called each of us to walk in obedience to Him and to serve Him in the works He’s prepared for us to do. We know it is His perfect will for us to serve and to fulfill what His plans are for us each day. We read in Ephesians 2:10, Philippians 2:13, and Titus 2:14 that God has works already prepared for us, that He’s the One working through us, and that we must be passionate about the works He has for us to do. We’re able to know God’s will through knowing Him and His Word (Romans 12:2). God also tells us not to be foolish about His will but to know it, in Ephesians 5:17. So, if we’re struggling to know God’s will, we are walking in the footsteps of the fool. Through Paul, God reminds Timothy and us that God called Paul to be an apostle (a special messenger) and this call from God was based on God’s promise of life through our Lord Jesus Christ. Every believer has received God's promise of life through Christ and we are to share His life with everyone we meet. Life is found only through a relationship with Christ for He is Life. God’s promise of life is for everyone. Therefore, we must share Christ so everyone has the opportunity to receive Life through Christ. No matter what, everyone deserves the opportunity to know Christ as Lord.
Challenge & Application
1. What did God teach you today about Life being found only through Christ alone?
2. How are you currently sharing Christ with others and offering them the opportunity to know Christ as you do?
