Scripture to Read: 2 Peter 1:3–4
God is going to rock our lives today as we unpack 2 Peter 1:3–4. As we see in 2 Peter 1:3–4, God, through His divine power (His Holy Spirit living in us), has given us EVERYTHING we need to live this life fully for Him and walk in a godly manner worthy of Him. All of this happens—and we said this already, but it must be repeated—as we know Him more intimately and completely through our daily fellowship with Him and His Word. God, in His gracious way, reminds us that He is the one who called us to be in fellowship with Him. God has always desired fellowship with us, which is humbling to consider that He loves us that much! Because God desires to fellowship with us, He called us through His incredible glory and marvelous excellence. Since He called us by His glory, we should live daily for His glory. And since He called us by His excellence, our lives should be lived way above reproach so that no one can accuse our lives, except through a false accusation. When we consider that God has already given ALL we need for this life, our lives should look drastically different from those still without Christ. Christ is not just in our lives, BUT Christ IS our LIFE (Colossians 3:4)! Knowing Christ more intimately gives us a clearer picture of what is important in this life. Therefore, our daily focus should be on Him and walking in His will. There is nothing more critical so that we live in daily victory.
