Day 7

Scripture to Read: 1 Timothy 6:20-21

This has been another awesome week walking through God’s Holy Word. Hopefully, you have allowed God to plant His Word deep within you so that you are walking in the Truth’s He has clearly revealed to you. As we close out this week, we read 1 Timothy 6:20-21. Through Paul, God instructs Timothy (and us) that we all must guard what God has entrusted to us. God has entrusted us with sharing the Good News of the Gospel with everyone we cross paths with. God has also entrusted us to walk daily in His Truth so that others see His handiwork in our lives. God also makes it clear that we must turn away from foolish, godless talk. In other words, we should not argue with others who oppose God’s Truth. God’s Truth does not need defending against fools who share their weak and worthless opinions (Proverbs 10:14; Proverbs 14:9; Proverbs 15:2; Proverbs 17:28; Proverbs 18:2; Proverbs 18:7; Proverbs 20:3). God shows us how fools will not receive His Truth. Therefore, we must not get caught up in worthless arguments. God even shares the sad truth that some have strayed from His Truth because they got caught up in their opinions and considered their opinions greater than God’s Word. God tells us in Proverbs 26:4 Do not answer a fool according to his folly, Or you will also be like him. We must all follow God and His Word and as we do, we will walk in His abundant grace and mercy every day.

Challenge & Application

1. What did God teach you today about what He has entrusted to each of His children? 2. How are you guarding what God has richly given you as His child?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 3

We are in a fight, waging war “against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places,” as God makes clear in Ephesians 6:12. Through Paul, God tells Timothy (and us) to “fight the good fight of fai...
