Scripture to Read: Romans 8:31–32
We will unpack some incredible questions over the next few days. But the good news is that God gives us even better answers to these questions. Today we read Romans 8:31–32, What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Remember yesterday, how God told us the following: that we’ll be “conformed” to Christ’s image, that He called us and justified us, and that one day He’ll glorify us with Christ? With all of that, God has Paul first ask the following question:
If God is on our side, then who can ever truly succeed against us? Well, no one can succeed against God’s children. Yes, the spiritual forces of darkness can have some victories as we fall into temptation, but those small victories for the spiritual forces of darkness are nothing compared to our victory through Christ. God gives us this tremendous victory through Christ because Christ’s death, burial, resurrection, and ascension give us complete victory over all of the forces of darkness in this world (John 8:31–32, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Ephesians 6:10–18). Then God has Paul ask this: If God the Father did not even spare His own Son, but gave Christ up for every person who would surrender to Him as Lord, will God not also give us everything He has to offer? Yes, He will! Don’t miss this incredible Truth!
