Day 7

Scripture to Read: Romans 1:15

As God used Paul to write His Word, God allowed Paul to share his excitement and passion about sharing the gospel with the Gentiles who had not heard of Christ yet. As we finish today, God also had Paul share his enthusiasm for preaching the good news to those who were already Christians. That is why Paul wrote this in Romans 1:15: So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome. As Paul wrote to the believers in Rome, he told them he was so excited to preach the gospel to them. As we walk through Romans, we must see that the gospel (God’s Word) not only impacts souls for salvation, but God also uses the gospel (His Word) to sustain us. The gospel of God’s grace reconciles us to God the Father through our Lord Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:19–22). As followers of our Lord Jesus, we never graduate from the gospel, but we must learn to meditate on it daily. The gospel is God’s Word, and His Word breathes life into us each day. We must depend on Christ daily as we rest in His grace, mercy, and forgiveness. The gospel changes us daily, and God uses it to transform us to be and look more like Him each day. In light of these things, we clearly see why Paul was so eager to preach the gospel, even to those who were already believers in Christ. We must live with that same excitement to walk in and share His gospel daily.

Challenge & Application

· Why do we still need to hear the gospel preached to us, even as Christians? · How can you apply the gospel of God’s grace into your life as you walk through the daily battles of this life?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 6

God had made His call on Paul’s life clear to Ananias when God told Ananias this about Paul in Acts 9:15–16: “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine, to bear My name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; 16 for I will show him how much he must suffer f...
