Scripture to Read: Luke 17:7-10
Christ is Lord of all and is worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. He alone is King, and we, as His children, are called to love and serve Him with every ounce of our being. We do this because, as our gracious King, He has set us free from the power and penalty of sin. He has opened the throne room of grace through His death, burial, and resurrection so that we can fellowship with God the Father without fear of death (Hebrews 10:11–25), knowing we are completely clean through the blood sacrifice of Christ our Lord on the cross. Since Christ has done all of this for us, we should, with an incredibly grateful heart, serve Him wholeheartedly in all areas of our lives. That is why Jesus said this in Luke 17:7–10, “Which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come immediately and sit down to eat’? 8 But will he not say to him, ‘Prepare something for me to eat, and properly clothe yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; and afterward you may eat and drink’? 9 He does not thank the slave because he did the things which were commanded, does he? 10 So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, ‘We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.’” As Christians, we must be ever mindful that we are unworthy servants whose duty to Christ is to obey His every command.

Christ our Lord has done everything so that we can walk with Him, so, how are you choosing to do that daily?
How are you showing your gratitude to our Lord each day? What good works are you fulfilling that He has called you to?
