Scripture to Read: Luke 16:19-31
As we close out the devotions this week on Luke 16:19-31, take some time before worship this morning and read back through Luke 16:19-31. Also, glance back through the six previous devotions and jot down what God has taught you over these last six days. Take some time and pray for our pastors as they preach on Luke 16 this morning. Pray Ephesians 6:19-20 for Pastor Aaron and Pastor Blake. Then pray John 16:7-11 for every lost soul that will be in worship today at either Highview campus. Also, pray for the lost souls here in Louisville who will be watching Highview’s service online. Then pray for the lost souls all over the world today who may be hearing the gospel preached today. Ask our Lord to remove the blindness from the minds of each lost soul, knowing, according to 2 Corinthians 4:4, “the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Also, pray for every believer who is leading any kind of small group today. Pray Ephesians 6:19-20 for them as well, asking our Lord to give them His Words as they lead. Finally, pray for believers who are still living “fleshly,” according to 1 Corinthians 3:1-3. Pray and thank the Lord that He is lovingly disciplining those immature believers according to Hebrews 12:5-11, so they will repent and be restored to a right fellowship with our Lord Jesus Christ.
