Day 3

Scripture to Read: Isaiah 43:6-7

Even though Isaiah 43:6-7 is God speaking through Isaiah to the nation of Israel, God is also speaking to us today. God made a promise to Israel to gather them back to their home country and to redeem them as a nation. God continually pursued Israel as a nation all throughout the Old Testament. Even though the people of Israel continually turned away from God and worshipped false gods, God never stopped pursuing the people of Israel. God is the same today, for He continually pursues all of us, as His children, because of His everlasting love for us. He also desires us to pursue Him and His Word in the same way He pursues us. God also is continually pursuing even those who do not know Him yet. We know this because Jesus told us His Holy Spirit would come, not only to indwell all believers (Acts 1:8) but also to pursue the lost (John 16:8-11). We can rest in and trust in God and His Holy Word. We ought to walk in great peace and comfort, knowing God loves and pursues us with an everlasting love and pursuit. We should also walk in great joy, knowing that God will one day call us home to live eternally with Him in total and complete perfection. God’s redemption of every believer (Colossians 1:13-14) through our Lord Jesus Christ ought to be MORE than enough to assure us of His love, grace, forgiveness, mercy, peace, and so much more.

Day 1

When God speaks, we need to listen. Of course, God speaks to us every day through His Holy Spirit who lives in us. God also speaks to us every day through His Word, as long as we are getting into His Word. As we read Isaiah 43:1-2, God speaks to the children of Israel, but His Truth also speaks to us today. God reminds us that He is our Creat...

Day 2

God reminds the people of Israel in Isaiah 43:3 that He is the Lord their God and their Savior. God is also our Lord and God, and He is our mighty Savior through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have so much more than the Israelites had, for God now dwells in us and not in a building made by man (1 Corinthians 3:16; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20). God fello...

Day 4

As we read Isaiah 43:8-10, in verse 8, God tells the nation of Israel to bring out the blind who have eyes to see and the deaf who have ears to hear. There were still people who were part of Israel who still did not follow and worship God but followed and worshipped false gods. We have spiritually deaf and blind people all around us in this w...

Day 5

God Almighty makes it clear today that there is only one God, and He is God. God also lets us know that He is our One and Only Savior. For us, as Christians, it is comforting to know that most everything prophesied about in the Old Testament was completely fulfilled through our Lord Jesus Christ. God has always been God, and He has always bee...

Day 6

God had Isaiah, in Isaiah 43:14, speak of the exile that Israel was facing in Babylon since Israel had been conquered by Babylon and had been taken into captivity, which lasted 70 years. God also had Isaiah prophesy, though, that Babylon would be judged by God and would eventually fall as a nation. God had Isaiah affirm how awesome and powerf...

Day 7

It is interesting that God tells the Israelites, and us, in Isaiah 43:16-17 to look to the past but then God shifts in Isaiah 43:18 and says, do not look to the past. If we are not careful, we’ll miss God’s beautiful Truth. The past God does want us to remember is all the times He has worked in our lives just as God says to Israel, in Isaiah ...
