Day 4

Scripture to Read: Exodus 28:31–43

God also told Moses (in Exodus 28:31–43) about the robe that Aaron, the high priest, was to wear. God told Moses in Exodus 28:33–35, “You shall make on its hem pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet material, all around on its hem, and bells of gold between them all around: 34 a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, all around on the hem of the robe. 35 It shall be on Aaron when he ministers; and its tinkling shall be heard when he enters and leaves the holy place before the Lord, so that he will not die.” God had appointed the high priest to be the one to enter into the Holy Place and also to enter the Holy of Holies once per year. The high priest represented the nation of Israel before God, but he also was used by God to be God’s spokesman to the people of Israel. The bells around the hem of his robe would allow the people to hear where he was in the Holy Place, and they would know that he was in God’s presence doing as God had commanded him to do. The people also would wait with great exception as they would hear the high priest coming toward the Tabernacle's door to tell them what God had spoken to him. The high priest’s obedience to all God said was imperative, for he would surely die if he did not obey what our Lord commanded. We have the incredible privilege through Christ to hear God directly through His Word and Holy Spirit.

Day 7

God is so awesome and because He is our Provider, we can rest in Him and trust Him that He will meet our needs in what He has called us to do—we see this beautifully in Exodus 31:1–11, as God told Moses about the men He had “filled with the Spirit of God in wisdom and skill, in understanding and intelligence, in knowledge, and in all kinds of...
