Scripture to Read: 2 Thessalonians 3:4
As you consider the people who have poured into your life spiritually, would you say they have confidence in the Lord concerning your walk with our Lord? Do these people who have taught you know, without a doubt, that you are doing and will continue to do what they taught you from our Lord and His Word? If not, why not? God teaches us today, through Paul, that Paul, Silvanus, and the others who helped invest in the believers in Thessalonica were confident that the believers in Thessalonica were continuing to do all that Paul, Silvanus, and the others had taught them from God’s Word. Paul, Silvanus, and the others who traveled with them were also confident that the Thessalonian believers were going to continue to walk in obedience to our Lord and His commands. The Thessalonian believers were living their lives in such a way that everyone who knew them knew they were obedient followers of our Lord Jesus Christ. The lives of the Thessalonian believers were having a great impact on all of those who lived around them. God wants us living our lives in such obedience to Him and His Word that everyone who knows us knows that we are followers of Christ and that we’re not ashamed to live our lives for Him. To walk in obedience to our Lord is an act of our will. We must choose daily to glorify Him in all we do and say. May our lives shine brightly for Him so others may know Him as we do.
