Day 4

Scripture to Read: 2 Thessalonians 3:2

When we consider the fact in 2 Thessalonians 3:2, that “not all have faith,” it is very sobering in the midst of all we have seen happen over the last few months. Consider how COVID-19 has affected those who do not have faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Many have lived in fear and panic of the effects of COVID-19. Then we faced the outbursts of anger from people across the country. These people are without faith; therefore they are dead in their trespasses and sins and walk according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is working in them because they are by their fleshly nature, children of wrath (Ephesians 2:1-3). For all of us who know Christ as Lord and Savior, hopefully, these things that have been happening have caused our own faith to grow and mature. Hopefully, we have become more aware of lost people God has placed around us. Hopefully, we have become more intentional about sharing Christ with those who do not have faith. God’s reminder to us that “not all have faith” should be our wake-up call to passionately pray Ephesians 6:19-20 and Colossians 4:3-6 for ourselves and for all other believers around the world. God commanded us to make disciples. Therefore, we must share Christ so those without faith are given the opportunity to turn from their sin and surrender to Christ.

Challenge & Application

1. What did God teach you today about those who still do not have faith? 2. Who will you share Christ with this week?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 1

Prayer is an incredible privilege for us as followers of our Lord Jesus Christ. Prayer is our opportunity to talk to our Heavenly Father. As we pray, we are joining God the Son and God the Spirit in the presence of God the Father as they are already praying on our behalf. We know God the Son and God the Spirit are interceding for us because G...

Day 2

As we learned yesterday, prayer is what we must choose to do each day of our lives. The beauty of prayer is that God opens the door for us to talk to Him about anything, and we can talk to Him anytime we choose. God is always listening and loves when we choose to fellowship with Him. God also lays out for us some things that we ought to pray ...

Day 3

God leads our lives each day because His Holy Spirit dwells in us. God never promised us that this life would be easy, or that we would never face persecution. God has told us throughout His Word that we should not be surprised when trials come (1 Peter 4:12) and that when those trials hit, we should consider them joy (James 1:2-4). Neverthel...

Day 5

We have so many beautiful promises from our God through His Word. God wants us knowing the fullness of His promises, but if we’re not spending time with Him and passionately pursuing His Word each day then we are going to miss the rich Truth’s He wants to share with us. The promise we read today in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 is that our Lord is fait...

Day 6

As you consider the people who have poured into your life spiritually, would you say they have confidence in the Lord concerning your walk with our Lord? Do these people who have taught you know, without a doubt, that you are doing and will continue to do what they taught you from our Lord and His Word? If not, why not? God teaches us today, ...

Day 7

Remember from the first two devotions this week that God had led Paul to encourage the believers in Thessalonica to pray for Paul, Silvanus, Timothy, and all other believers. Today we read in 2 Thessalonians 5:5 that God also led Paul to pray for the believers in Thessalonica. God led Paul to ask Him to lead the hearts of the Thessalonian bel...
