Day 3

Scripture to Read: Psalm 95:4–5

God continues to open our eyes to why He alone is worthy of all of our praise, shouting, songs, words of adoration, and admiration! God reminds us in Psalm 95:4–5, “In whose hand are the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are His also. 5 The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land.” Consider that God holds all the earth in His hands, yet He came in the Person of Jesus Christ to fully reveal His grace and truth to us. All of creation was made by our Great God and King. It’s interesting that in Genesis 1, the statement, “Then God said…” is found in verses 3, 6, 9, 11, 14, 20, 24, 26, and 29. Many of these verses end with this statement, “and it was so.” As God brought everything into being, much of His creation was simply spoken into existence. God’s Word is so powerful that as He spoke, all of the stars, planets, vegetation, and so on just appeared. In some cases, God’s Word says, “the Lord God formed,” such as when He created Adam and Eve. The point is that God created everything we see for His purpose according to His perfect plan and in His perfect way. God reminds us in Psalm 95 of His incredible handiwork in all creation. This is another reason God is so worthy of all of our praise. When any other teaching arises removing God from being Creator, we rob Him of the praise He alone deserves.

Challenge & Application

· Why is it important for us to recognize God as Creator and to know nothing came into being apart from Him? · How do you practice praising God each day for creating everything around you and for creating you?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 1

We will shout about a lot of things. We’ll shout when we get excited about our favorite team winning a game. We’ll shout when we get angry about something. We’ll find ourselves shouting when we are in a place with a lot of noise, and we try to project our voice over the noise. We’ll also sing for a lot of different reasons. We’ll sing along w...

Day 2

God definitely deserves our voices to be lifted up in joyful shouting and singing to Him. God reminds us today in Psalm 95:3, “For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods.” We know God is great and wonderful and almost every Christian would agree that no one is greater or more wonderful than God our King. The problem for so ma...

Day 4

God led David to challenge us to see Him for Who He is as our God, Creator, and King and that He is above all. But since we are only examining a verse or two a day, we get to dive into each verse a little deeper. God’s Word says in Psalm 95:6, “Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” As we examine this vers...

Day 6

God challenges us today to be sure and listen closely to His voice. God tells us in Psalm 95:7b–9, “Today, if you would hear His voice, 8 Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness, 9 ‘When your fathers tested Me, they tried Me, though they had seen My work.’” God used David to remind us all that we mu...

Day 5

We belong to God because we are His children and we’ve been made in His image (Genesis 1:26)—it is important for us to understand what that means. God’s Word says in Psalm 95:7a, “For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.” God is the Great Shepherd and cares for us as His sheep. Since we are His sheep,...

Day 7

There is no doubt that God is patient, kind, gracious, forbearing, forgiving, and the list goes on toward us as His creation. But there comes a point, and God alone knows, when someone hits this wall that someone’s heart has been so hardened toward Him that they are beyond repentance. It’s hard for us to even think about someone getting to th...
