Day 2

Scripture to Read: Psalm 95:3

God definitely deserves our voices to be lifted up in joyful shouting and singing to Him. God reminds us today in Psalm 95:3, “For the Lord is a great God and a great King above all gods.” We know God is great and wonderful and almost every Christian would agree that no one is greater or more wonderful than God our King. The problem for so many Christians here in the USA is that we allow our busy schedules to distract us from how awesome and wonderful God is and we find ourselves missing out on our sweet fellowship with Him and being in His Word. A great way to remind ourselves of God’s greatness, majesty, and glory is to open His Word and find Scriptures that declare this about Him. For instance, we see this in Psalm 135:5, “For I know that the Lord is great and that our Lord is above all gods.” We can take this Psalm and shout it back to our King by saying, “God, thank You that you are Great and that You are above all other so-called gods and that there is no one else like You!” We learn to pray Scripture back to our Father and King. God led David and other writers to pen the Psalms so that we could have them today to sing and shout to our Lord in a manner that brings Him the praise, honor, and glory He alone deserves. God uses His Word to transform our minds and hearts, so we must take the time to bathe in His Word.

Challenge & Application

· How often do you stop to consider how GREAT and GLORIOUS God is and that there is no one greater? · How has God challenged you today to broaden and deepen your praise of Him just for Who He is?

Don’t forget to pray using the A.C.T.S. (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication) method!

Day 1

We will shout about a lot of things. We’ll shout when we get excited about our favorite team winning a game. We’ll shout when we get angry about something. We’ll find ourselves shouting when we are in a place with a lot of noise, and we try to project our voice over the noise. We’ll also sing for a lot of different reasons. We’ll sing along w...

Day 3

God continues to open our eyes to why He alone is worthy of all of our praise, shouting, songs, words of adoration, and admiration! God reminds us in Psalm 95:4–5, “In whose hand are the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are His also. 5 The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land.” Consider that ...

Day 4

God led David to challenge us to see Him for Who He is as our God, Creator, and King and that He is above all. But since we are only examining a verse or two a day, we get to dive into each verse a little deeper. God’s Word says in Psalm 95:6, “Come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.” As we examine this vers...

Day 6

God challenges us today to be sure and listen closely to His voice. God tells us in Psalm 95:7b–9, “Today, if you would hear His voice, 8 Do not harden your hearts, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness, 9 ‘When your fathers tested Me, they tried Me, though they had seen My work.’” God used David to remind us all that we mu...

Day 5

We belong to God because we are His children and we’ve been made in His image (Genesis 1:26)—it is important for us to understand what that means. God’s Word says in Psalm 95:7a, “For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture and the sheep of His hand.” God is the Great Shepherd and cares for us as His sheep. Since we are His sheep,...

Day 7

There is no doubt that God is patient, kind, gracious, forbearing, forgiving, and the list goes on toward us as His creation. But there comes a point, and God alone knows, when someone hits this wall that someone’s heart has been so hardened toward Him that they are beyond repentance. It’s hard for us to even think about someone getting to th...
