Scripture to Read: Matthew 7:6
God has spoken to us over the last five devotions about how to judge each other in a manner that is pleasing to Him. Jesus then said this in Matthew 7:6, “Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.” In judging others, we must have God’s discernment on who is ready to hear a loving rebuke. Our Lord knows that not everyone willingly receives His Word joyfully, but some despise and reject Christ and His Word. We are all called to live the gospel, as Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:13–16, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; 15 nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” But we must ask our Lord for His discernment so that as we live and share Him with others, we look for the opportunities (Colossians 4:3–4) He has for us to walk in.
Challenge & Application

· How do we find the opportunities God has for us according to Colossians 4:3–4, and how are you seeking those opportunities?
