Scripture to Read: 2 Timothy 1:3–4
Take a moment and reread Luke 19:41–42. Jesus wept over the lostness of all those in Jerusalem because He knew they were utterly missing who He was as their Messiah. We all have people in our lives whom we must pray for who are lost in their sins. The only way we become broken for the lost souls around us is to pray for them. We must pray, asking our Lord, according to Colossians 4:3–6, to give us opportunities to share Him and His Truth with them. We must pray John 16:8–11, thanking our Heavenly Father that through His Holy Spirit, He is already convicting every lost soul concerning sin, righteousness, and judgment. We must pray Ephesians 6:19–20, asking God to give us His words and boldness as we share Him and His Truth with the lost. We must live our lives above reproach so everyone who knows us is thankful for being a part of our lives. We need people in our lives who, with us, are pursuing righteousness, faith, love, and peace and are calling on God with us from the pure hearts He's given us (2 Timothy 2:22). These same friends must be fleeing from youthful lusts, and we need to be holding each other accountable to walking in God’s Truth. We must be the friend others know they can count on to be a prayer warrior for them. God wants us to experience the triumph of Christ through our lives, our prayers, our words, and the friends we have in Him.
