The Heart of a Disciple Maker

Our motives in everything we do truly matter to God. That includes leading D-Groups and investing in people. In 1 Thessalonians 2, Paul describes how he invested his life and the gospel with the people there. In verse 8 he begins by saying, "So, being affectionately desirous of you...", and then he proceeds to share how he discipled them. His discipleship begins with loving them deeply. In others words, our motives for leading people in D-Groups ought to be love. This is something that we grow in as we truly open our lives to people and invite them to follow Jesus with us. Be an Ally and Advocate Against Injustice

People are growing in awareness to the plight of our black brothers and sisters within our country. Questions are being raised about what can be done and what should be done. I understand the difficulty and the pressure of giving a satisfactory answer to the cries of others.

In light of the current events that have transpired in our communities and cities, it is our call to grow and have compassion for those who are suffering. As people who are messengers of the gospel, we cannot remain neutral/passive about the matters pertaining to injustice and those who are being affected. Here's an old post that speaks on how we can "Be and Ally and Advocate Against Injustice."
