Highview wants to share dignity and hope this Christmas.  We will be creating a HopeChristmas Store where families can shop at discounted prices for gifts for their children.  We are inviting all Highview members to participate by donating gifts (we need all gifts by Sunday, November 29), volunteering to help in the store, and making follow-up visits with families following the event.

We are working with schools around our campuses as well as in partnership with other churches in the area. This year we will have the store at Bashford Manor Baptist Church as we did last year.  It is exciting to see how partnering with other believers serves to better impact the city with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our goal is to give people a hand up and not a handout.  For this reason, we will sell each item at an 80% discount off the original retail price.  We believe this will serve our community by empowering some of our neighbors with a sense of dignity and the ability to provide for themselves.

Ultimately, we hope to share the love of Christ.  Sharing Christmas presents with families in need is fun, but we are more excited about sharing the gift of salvation through Jesus.  Hope and dignity are ultimately rooted in him and his work on the cross.  We hope this project will open the door for many gospel-centered conversations.

We'd love to have you help!  Register to choose the day you want to volunteer, or sign up for both days. You may serve as a personal shopper, a hospitality volunteer, a setup crew member, a wrapping station helper, a store runner, or a directional assistant. Please keep in mind that childcare is not available for volunteers.

You can shop for registered gifts at Amazon or Target (First Name: Hope Christmas; Last Name: Store)

Donations may be made at Gift the Gift of Hope this Christmas
